Advice, They Wrote

iFsters ruminate on advice given to them by parental figures

May 9th is a day to pay homage not only to the traditional mothers in our lives but to any guardians and caretakers who shaped, inspired and taught us. iF moms and and family have no shortage of clever adages and sage advice they’ve shared with us over the years, and so we’d like to pass along some of this familial wisdom, along with some cute pics:

Tyler Middleton, Director: “Never wear your hat at the dinner table. Firm handshake and good eye contact!”
J.J. Westfall, Operations Manager: “Write down three things you are grateful for, every day.”
Tynan Gable, Senior Associate: “Did you look on Amazon?”
Andy Buffelen, Associate: “Everything happens for a reason.”
Gedney Barclay, Senior Associate: “Always have a back-up plan.”
Malia Nakamura, Digital Marketing Coordinator: “Make your mental health a priority.”
Sarah Outhwaite, Lead Designer: “Live with your whole spirit.”

Every quarter, Intentional Futures puts out a long-form piece on what we’ve been up to, and what we’re thinking about.
